Organic Vegan/Vegetarian Cooking

Learn how to make easy, delicious, healthy and wholesome meals using organic, nonGMO, local, vegan/vegetarian ingredients. Learn about the health benefits of a variety of superfoods, fruits, vegetables, grains, spices, herbs, and oils. Learn different cultural styles of cooking from around the world with varying flavors and tastes. Through these workshops, make your own homemade sauces, including: hummus, pesto, coconut curry, veggie pate, cashew cheese, peanut/almond thai sauce, and more. Meals include Nori-Wraps, Indian and Thai Vegetable Curries & Stir-Fries, Three-Sisters Enchiladas, Rainbow Salad, Buddha bowls, Tempeh Ruben, Veggie Burgers, Mushroom Medley, and more! Take a field trip to local farmers markets. We will be using local seasonal ingredients. Learn in-depth about a variety of seasonings and how to flavor your meals to perfection. Engage in mindful eating and food sovereignty discussion. Take photos of your edible creations and develop your own recipe book. By the end of these workshops, you will become confident in preparing nourishing, yummy meals.
